How do I become a Mason
and join Amity Lodge?

The following information is for Men who would like to become a
Mason and for Masons who are interested in joining Amity Lodge.

To become a Mason in Nevada, you must be a man, at least 18 years old.

Have a belief in a Supreme Being of any faith. No particular religion or faith is required or excluded. All are welcome.

Also, you should be coming to Masonry "of your own free will and accord", to learn to improve yourself and to enjoy the company of other good people. Not because you think it will help you "get ahead" in business.

All you have to do is ask a Mason.

To become a Mason and join Amity Lodge #4, contact the Secretary via telephone or e-mail to ask for a petition and be sure to tell him you were referred by this web site.

What happens next?

Once you receive your petition, fill it out and return it to us along with the required fee. Your petition will be read in Lodge at the next meeting and the Worshipful Master will assign an “Investigating Committee” consisting of three Masons to talk with you to determine if you qualify to become a Mason. Their report will be read in Lodge at the next meeting and the members present will vote to accept or reject you. If accepted, you will be contacted to schedule your initiation. If rejected, any fees you paid will be refunded.

We can’t tell you what happens next, as that is part of the mysteries of becoming a Freemason. We can tell you that every man who has become a Mason has experienced the same initiation and it is well worth it! Let me assure you, there is NO hazing. Our initiations are very solemn and dignified. Join the world's oldest fraternity and become a better man.

Remember, you must ask to join. We will not ask you. ASK us today!

All Masons are invited to attend our meetings. If you are already a Mason and would like to affiliate with us as a single, dual or plural membership, contact the Secretary via telephone or e-mail and be sure to tell him you were referred by this web site.
